Levi Strauss & Co. (Canada) in Richmond Hill, Ontario, houses archival records relating to GWG. They are not currently open to the public although access has been granted in the past.

Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA)

The PAA holds the Great Western Garment Company fonds relating to the Local 120 UFCW (originally UGWA). The fonds includes the union charter, minutes (1915, 1946-1961), financial secretaries' ledgers (1940-1977), agreements, price lists (1930s-1940s), and photographs. In addition to the union records, other records at the PAA include: Alberta Federation of Labour; Edmonton & District Trades & Labour Council; Department of Labour; Statutes of Alberta; Edmonton Free Press; Alberta Labour News. The interviews conducted during the Piece by Piece project will be deposited in the Provincial Archives of Alberta.

United Garment Workers of America Archives, Georgia State University

This large collection (L1992-17; 78 linear feet) traces the United Garment Workers from the early years of the union to 1994, the year that the UGWA became a part of the United Food and Commercial Workers. Contained in the collection are time and motion research files for the garment industry, union labour contracts, office files relating to the functioning of the UGWA's central headquarters, minutes of the General Executive Board's meetings, and local union files.
