Crates full of clothing

The final photograph provides an explanation. From the first four we surmised that this was the GWG factory, in the 1940s, and that the workers were posing, possibly for publicity purposes. The shipping address on the crates is the Royal Netherlands Ordnance Depot in Rotterdam, Holland. The photograph itself only indicates where the garments were going; but to someone aware of Canada's role in the liberation of Holland at the end of the Second World War, the photograph has more meaning.
