Interpreting Photographic Series | Series 4
This series shows images of a department store with displays of Canadian-made clothing in the 1950s:
- A woman demonstrates how GWG clothing is made
- The fact that it is the Hudson's Bay Company store can be determined by use of a magnifying glass with the second photo
- GWG menswear as well as clothing by Christensen, another Edmonton-based garment manufacturing company, indicating that the store promotion was not limited to GWG clothing
- GWG children's wear
